Day 21 - End of leg 1, Start of leg 2

For the first time this entire trip there's cold / wet weather. The sailing was filled largely with folks from England and Ireland (chasing the warmth no doubt). Upon return to port today it's a blustry 55 degrees, some rain and a cool breeze.

This morning I was able to experience something I've not been able to before, stay on a ship when one sailing finishes and the other begins. It remains me a lot of working at a camp. Folks arrived Sunday, were there all week, they packup on Saturday, we get a little time to ourselves then do it all over again. And that's exactly what's happening today. People are off by 8:30, ship computers close out the sailing at 9am, open the new sailing at 9:30am.

Rather than sit on the ship until it leaves at 4pm I head to the nearby mall.
No customs at all
Funny how a country's border wall is just a medical table
Decent mall
Ordering is super easy via large tv
Everyone uses it here, few go to the counter to order
Queen Mary 2 (right)

You might wonder what, if any, special perks someone doing a back-to-back sailing receives. Turns out there is. On a different subject, folks are mostly onboard now. It's odd to look around the ship and realize all the faces I'm seeing, I've not seen any before. My mind tells me I should recognize them since this is still my cruise. This sailing is mostly Americans wanting to experience the cold.
Quite a delicious steak. Not bad considering there are no flames used in the kitchen
If you have to pee on the high seas might as well do it with a great view
Now we understand why all the balconies were sold out, corporate retreat for a few hundred folks
Late night comedy

Tomorrow - Cherboug, France
