Day 25 - Oslo, Norway (day 1)

If you could take the Amish from New York and place them in a fishing village you'd have Oslo. I said I wanted to feel cold well this morning it is 38 degrees before windchill. We started into the channel at 10am and should be into the dock after a nice 3-hour drive (see a theme with this trip, lots of 2 or 3 hour drives to go anywhere).
Not going to let the cold stop the hammock enjoyment
Don't smoke kids, it'll go to your head
After a day sailing land spotted
The sun finally broke out
... and directly onto one tiny island
Did I mention it was super cold this morning?
The downtown city center of Oslo
Where the boat will be for the next 40 hours
My view from the balcony
Large walkways, the city hall building in the center
1773 built to keep invaders out
The old fort. The size of the stones are enormous
Their new opera house and lots of new construction all around it
You can walk on the 'roof'
Their transit hub
Many streets are pedestrian only
Samples of Norway cheese
Taco trucks?
Random market
I may have walked too far

I got lucky and found a cemetery at sunset from the late 1800s and it did not disappoint.
Woman and her dog jut enjoying the nice afternoon air

This is my first time doing an overnight on a cruise and as a result I was able to see this beautiful town from a whole different perspective.
The King's Palace, will come back here
The city is incredibly safe yet no police visible anywhere
The Nobel Peace building
City Hall all light up
11pm and the town is winding down
Plenty of places to enjoy a late night meal or drink

Really falling in love with this town. Tomorrow - day 2 in Oslo
